West Ham United Women 2-1 Brighton & Hove Albion Women

Alisha Lehmann grabbed a late double as eighth-placed West Ham came from behind to beat Brighton in the Women’s Super League.

Danique Kerkdijk had given the visitors the lead in the 24th minute, the referee’s assistant ruling the ball had crossed the line after a goalmouth scramble.

It looked for a long time like that would be enough to secure the three points for ninth-placed Brighton, but Lehmann had other ideas.

The 20-year-old Swiss forward met Kate Longhurst’s cross to equalise 10 minutes from time, and completed the turnaround three minutes later with a cool finish past Albion goalkeeper Megan Walsh.
